Navigating life in Sweden with a migrant background comes with its own joys and challenges, and you shouldn’t have to figure it all out on your own. Pleasure & Power has a goal to empower you with the information you need to make the best decisions for you. Whether it’s understanding your body and sexual health, navigating the Swedish healthcare system, dating in Sweden, or exploring your identity, we provide the tools to help you make informed and confident decisions.

FAQ - FRIENDLY ANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT PLEASURE & POWER ↙

The workshop

What exactly are we going to do for two days?

Our educators have prepared discussions and interactive demonstrations on sex, pleasure, anatomy, STIs, rights, healthcare, dating and much more. They guide you through the content, and you can ask anything without judgement or fear. There are short breaks with fika and drinks throughout both days.

Two peer educators. They are part of the community, just like you, and have gone through training to become educators.

Not at all. The workshop works for everyone, whatever you already know. It’s built as a big discussion with demonstrations, so even if a topic is familiar, you’ll get something out of sharing your view and hearing others.

That’s perfectly fine. You never have to share anything that doesn’t feel comfortable. We’re all different in how openly we talk about sex and pleasure, and everybody is welcome either way.

Yes. Besides the general content, there are parts made specifically for trans people, such as anatomy and gender-affirming care.

Of course. How you label yourself doesn’t matter, as long as you fit the target group. Call yourself whatever suits you best.

Safety & Privacy

One of our rules is “whatever is said in the room, stays in the room”. No participant shares anything about anyone outside the workshop. We also don’t ask for personal information beyond confirming you’re part of the target group, for example your age.

No. You can register with any name and any email address you want.

Yes. Both days include short breaks and a longer lunch break, with snacks, fika, coffee, tea and a simple lunch like salads or wraps. When you register, you can note food preferences and allergies so we can prepare something that works for you.
